The Palmetto Corporate Data Company is physically located at 1331 Elmwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29201.  Our mailing address is P.O. Box 2154, Columbia, SC 29202. We were founded in 1997 by  a retired federal agent who spent 17 years working white collar, forgery, and fraud investigations in the Midlands and Low Country areas of South Carolina. 

We are registered with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (license 1578) and are a full service investigative and consulting agency specializing in electronic database searching and miscellaneous investigations. We also do consulting  on due diligence, internal theft, background and applicant inquiries, witness and asset location, juror profiles, and other miscellaneous matters. PCDC's sister agency, Palmetto Investigations, handles most types of private investigations including domestic investigations, divorce, commercial theft, nanny surveillance, field background checks, interviewing witnesses and basic trial prep, and other miscellaneous investigations.

The information obtained via computer by The Palmetto Corporate Data Company comes from public records available to anyone or from data that individuals have voluntarily placed in the public domain. We do not do semi-legal searches or inquiries based on trickery, such as bank account searches or pretense telephone calls. While PCDC is an information source primarily for the business community, information can be provided to  private individuals based upon a showing of a legal and acceptable purpose. Palmetto Corporate Data Company provides information only to clients and subscribes to the IRSG Principles established by the 13 major information companies established in December, 1997. In accordance with these principles, some portion of reports provided to some clients may be redacted including dates of birth and social security number.
